Mediterranean Herb Seasoning is an all-purpose seasoning that adds flavor without overpowering the main ingredient flavors. It works well on fresh salads, chickpea salad, eggs, vegetables, marinades, and more.
Rosemary is rather large and pungent compared to the other spices, so crush it with the back of a spoon or mortar and pestle before adding it to the blend. Combine all spices. Store in a closed container. When shaken, the bigger, leafy spices rise to the top, and the smaller spices fall to the bottom. This is not a problem.To Use: Stir the blend with the measuring spoon before scooping the desired amount. This will ensure even distribution. Alternatively, combine the spices in a small blender or food processor to break them down into equal sizes.
Notes
Recipe makes 7 Tablespoons. One serving size = 1 Tablespoon. Easily scale this recipe up or down. Optionally, omit the salt for a low-salt diet.
