– Unsalted Butter – Honey – Unsweetened Applesauce – Vanilla Extract – All-Purpose Flour – Baking Soda – Chocolate Chips
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Cut the butter into six equal slices and place into a microwave-safe bowl. Melt the butter in the microwave.
Add the honey, applesauce and vanilla extract to the butter and stir well. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda and salt.
Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and stir well, scraping mixture off the sides of the bowl as needed.
Add the chocolate chips to the batter and stir. Scoop 2 tbsp worth of batter onto a cookie sheet and press down the batter just slightly.
Repeat with the remaining batter, placing the cookies 1 inch apart. Place the cookie sheet in the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
Let the cookies cool completely on the cookie sheet for up to 15 minutes.
