Gestational Diabetes Symptoms & Warning Signs
Typically, symptoms go unnoticed because they’re mild and common to pregnancy - thirst, lowered immunity, exhaustion and frequent urination.
Stronger symptoms common to diabetes include:
- blurred vision.
- numb or tingling hands or feet.
- excessively dry skin.
- slow healing sores.
All doctors test pregnant mothers for gestational diabetes around 24 to 28 weeks, but if you meet more than one risk factor, or you’re experiencing symptoms, request to be tested earlier.
